Social and Political Activists For a Fair and Just Democracy in Taos, New Mexico
Francisco Cantu will be joined by Bonnie Golden from Taos Immigrant Allies, Siena Sanderson from Las Cumbres,, Bea Balsamo of Taos United:Taosenos Unidos at the El Taoseno Room at 120 Civic Plaza Drive from 10 am – noon. The public are invited to ask questions of each of the panelists. Also, paper, envelopes and stamps will be available for those wishing to write to those held in detention centers at the border. The focus will be on proactive strategies to help immigrant families, children separated from their parents, and how to transform the culture of violence and criminalization deployed by the US immigration policies. Cash donations will be accepted to benefit immigrant families on both sides of the border.
