Thursday, Oct 24 3-5 pm – Drop by for an hour and send letters to get voters to the polls in Virginia.  729-A paseo del Pueblo Sur
(Taos County Democratic Party headquarters)
If just one seat in each house flips, Virginia can be the final state needed to pass the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution and end partisan gerrymandering  and restore equal voting rights in that state.

(A few stamps you might have
would help offset the cost of this effort.)

Thursday, Oct 24 -3-5pm Taos Plaza-  Climate Crisis, Disarmament and Nuclear Safety Activists Join to Count the Nuclear Weapons Money Many Americans and especially climate protectors are starting to make the cause and effect connection of the corporate military-industrial complex to climate destruction. Billions of taxpayer money are being directed toward nuclear armaments that could instead be reallocated to climate protection, just transitions, and sustainable development goals rather than the threat of nuclear annihilation.

This live event in Taos will coincide with the international Count the Nuclear Weapons Money action centered in New York City. You can count for 30 minutes on video and then express in an interview or by writing in a big book how you think this massive amount of your tax dollars currently being invested in the world’s ultimate weapons of mass destruction and genocide should be better spent for good!

Wednesday, Oct 30,  4 pm- Converge on the Capitol for Climate Action!  Join the youth led Climate Strike as it returns to Santa Fe to demand that the Governor commit to climate action in NM.  https://www.facebook.com/events/510103872871705/
Wednesday, Oct 30 5-7pm, Somos 108 Civic Plaza Drive – Community for Racial Healing Workshop series Taos is a special historical community, a diverse, culturally rich area that continues to struggle with a difficult history of racial trauma.  This legacy of hurt among the various ethnic and cultural groups here continues to hold back all of our communities. To learn more about how you can help  to heal the racial divides with the Taos Healing and Reconciliation Project. This workshop series is free of change and will consist of monthly meetings over 8 months.  For more info, show up on Wed evening or contact Megan White: megantrulove@gmail.com
