Action Alert – August 2nd, 2019: TIA, ACLU, School Donations

Join TAOS IMMIGRANT ALLIES in the intimate setting of SOMOS as we host ACLU Immigration Lawyer, Stephanie Corte, and CNP, Judy Lockwood who will speak about immigrant and refugee detention centers and shelters in New Mexico.  This is your chance to hear from people who have been inside.  This is your opportunity to ask questions.  If you are looking to help immigrants of any nationality in the Taos community this is your opportunity to sign-up for action and issue groups.

School Supplies for Students at Enos Garcia Elementary  ’19-’20

We have many families that cannot afford the school supplies suggested by the second through fifth grade teachers. Donations can be dropped off in the EGES (305 Don Fernando Street, Taos) auditorium across the hall from the main entrance Monday through Fridays, 7:30 am – 4PM.  If anyone prefers to donate funds for us to purchase supplies make checks payable to Siena Sanderson/Nurturing Center LCCS or send us a Walmart gift card.
