This Monday, May 6, 6-8:30 pm there is a Town Hall for Climate Change, one of 300 nationally produced by the youth-led Sunrise Movement and the Sierra Club. Similar events were held in Albuquerque and Santa Fe last week. This is nonpartisan and free to those interested.
Come learn about the Green New Deal — what is at stake and how we can all work together to shift our society and economy to a sustainable future. It won’t be easy and it will take valuable time, so we need everyone to be part of the solution.
We will have short videos, brief talks by local environmental leaders and time for discussion. Its been 5+ years since Climate Change was the focus on a public meeting in Taos. Much has changed. We will share the good news about efforts internationally and locally, as well as opportunities rising from the Green New Deal ideas which will help our economy. This is free, non-partisan, and young people are especially encouraged to attend.
