On Wednesday, January 7th, Renee Nicole Good’, an American citizen, was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This tragic death was not an isolated incident; over the past year federal agents have shot numerous people — two in Portland just yesterday. This killing is part of a broad and escallating pattern of unchecked violence and abuse carried out with impunity by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
The response to this week’s killing and ongoing ICE violence needs to be loud, peaceful, and inescapable. So if you’re physically able, we need you to be out in the streets ….. to honor all those impacted by ICE brutality, raise awareness of this grotesque pattern of violence, and demand justice and accountability. .
